Eros International plc announces that its latest release ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ is a box office triumph

Eros International plc ("Eros" or "the Company"), the leading international Bollywood distributor, announces that its latest release, Lage Raho Munnabhai, has become the Company’s highest grossing film of this year. Eros is the international distributor of Lage Raho Munnabhai, a sequel to Munna Bhai MBBS which was distributed by Eros in 2003.
Since its release on Sep 1, the film has grossed US$22.5 million in India and has made a further US$3.3 internationally, including US$ 1.4 million in the US1 and US$ 1 million in the UK2.
Lage Raho Munnabhai is a comedy based on the 'Gandhian' philosophy of non-violence being preached by a 'good gangster'. The film has received a positive response from the UK media:
